As two Lifetime members of the Greater Columbia Association of REALTORS¨ Circle of Excellence, Danny and Karen combined their successful, but separate, Real Estate businesses in 1992. This arrangement has allowed them to give the maximum level of service! Their customers and clients enjoy having two licensed, professional, top producers working for them!

Newcomers rely on Real Estate Agents to accurately match their wants & needs with homes, areas and/or neighborhoods. Though they have been in Columbia since the early 1980's, Danny and Karen know what it is like to relocate to this area. Danny is originally from North Carolina but came to Columbia from Charleston, South Carolina, and Karen moved here from Michigan. (In addition, they have rescued several of Karen’s family members from the Detroit area). Being able to relate to your relocation experience allows them to be more helpful to you! Danny works with his wife Karen. The two of them have worked in the same office for over 20 years! They have two sons, ages 24 and 20 and reside on Lake Murray in the Ballentine area.

Karen Hood

Married to Realtor Danny Hood. Karen and Danny have two sons, ages 24 and 20.

Karen was born in Detroit, Michigan and relocated to Columbia in August of 1982, after graduating from the University of Michigan

Karen is a Life Member of the Greater Columbia Association of Realtors Circle of Excellence

With over 20 years of experience as a licensed Real Estate Agent, Karen has worked in the same office for over 20 years!

Karen is a Notary Public, and has been since 1995.

Karen is a graduate of the Interior Decorating Certificate Program offered through Midlands Technical College.

Danny & Karen desire to give the best service possible! Adopting the slogan “Customer Service is NOT a department, It’s an attitude!” Danny & Karen strive to attain 100% satisfaction from their customers, clients, & the cooperating agents with whom they work!

Karen has been active on many committees for the Columbia Board of Realtors. She recently served as Chairman of the Circle of Excellence Committee & is currently serving on the Columbia Board’s Grievance Committee.

Having served as her Church’s Youth Coordinator for 9 years, & a former Middle School Math teacher & Scout leader, Karen has much knowledge to offer new transferees who have concerns regarding their children’s adjustments to the Columbia area.

In addition to Karen’s own relocation to this wonderful city, she and Danny have moved her whole family from the Detroit area! Karen has personal experience relocating Seniors, Retirees, & 30-somethings making new career moves, from her own family!
